DIY Tip

Get something known as TSP (Tri Sodium Phosphate). It is in the painting section. This is used to wash walls before painting as it removes ALL grime and gunk on your walls. While you are there be sure to get some latex gloves as this is kind of harsh on the hands.

Pro painters use TSP to wash walls before painting because it does such an effective job. It isn't expensive and it really works well. After you wash with it, get another bucket of just clear water and give everything a good wipe down rinse. This should completely clean your walls and remove any and all grime on them.
